Hosting

This website is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. The servers are located in Germany. We have concluded a data processing agreement with STRATO under Art. 28 GDPR; STRATO processes the data only on our instructions.

Server log data when you visit the website

Whenever a page is requested, the web server processes technically necessary data that your browser transmits automatically:

  • IP address of the requesting device
  • date and time of access
  • page or file requested and amount of data transferred
  • status code (e.g. whether the page was found)
  • previously visited page (referrer), if your browser transmits it
  • browser type and operating system

This data is needed to deliver the website and to keep it secure and stable, for example to detect and fend off attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in doing so (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not analyse this data, do not create user profiles and do not combine it with other data. It is stored only for as long as these purposes require and is then deleted or anonymised.

No cookies, no tracking

This website does not set cookies and does not use any analytics, tracking or advertising services. Fonts and all other content are loaded from our own server; no data is transmitted to third parties during a normal page visit. The only exception is the map on the contact page, and only after you click to load it (see below).

The connection to the website is encrypted with TLS (“https://”) so that transmitted data cannot be read by third parties.

Enquiries via the enquiry form, email or phone

The enquiry form on the contact page does not transmit any data to us itself: it merely opens your email program with a pre-filled message, which you send yourself. If you contact us by email or phone, we process your details (e.g. company, name, address, contact details and the content of your enquiry) solely to deal with your request.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract or a quotation, and otherwise our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We delete the data as soon as it is no longer needed, unless statutory retention obligations apply (in particular six or ten years for business letters and accounting records under German commercial and tax law).

Google Maps (map on the contact page)

On the contact page you can display a map from Google Maps. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”).

The map is only loaded when you click “Load map”. Until then, no connection to Google is established. After the click, Google necessarily receives in particular your IP address, information about your browser and the fact that you visited our contact page; Google may also set cookies. Processing in the USA is possible. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, for which the European Commission has adopted an adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR).

The legal basis is the consent you give by clicking (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) of the German TDDDG). Your consent applies only to the current page view and is not stored; you withdraw it by reloading or leaving the page. Further information: Google’s privacy policy.

Instagram and other external links

We refer to Instagram only by means of a simple link; no Instagram plugins or content are embedded. No data is therefore transmitted to Instagram when you visit our website. Only when you click the link are you taken to Instagram, a service of Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland, where its privacy policy applies.

The same applies to the “Open in Google Maps” link and all other links to external websites: the respective provider is responsible for their content and data processing.

Your rights

You have the right to

  • access the data we process about you (Art. 15 GDPR),
  • have inaccurate data rectified (Art. 16 GDPR),
  • erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) and restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
  • data portability (Art. 20 GDPR),
  • object to processing based on our legitimate interest (Art. 21 GDPR),
  • withdraw any consent given, with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR).

To exercise these rights, simply contact us using the details above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the authority responsible for us: Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen, Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany, www.ldi.nrw.de.

We do not use automated decision-making, including profiling.
